WHAT IS QUICKSTART TENNIS?
QuickStart Tennis is an exciting new play format for learning tennis, designed to bring kids into the game by utilizing specialized equipment, shorter court dimensions and modified scoring, all tailored to age and size. It is divided into two different levels-- ages 8 and under and ages 10 and under.
It's the fast, fun way to get kids into tennis-- and keep them playing.
QuickStart Tennis techniques can also be used with older children & adults
who are new to tennis.

Challenge Ladder
[Our Challenge Ladder concluded at the end of October. Please check back in the spring of 2009 if you are interested in participating in Ladder competition.]
The purpose of a challenge ladder is to allow all tennis players, from the beginning novice to the serious, experienced player, to meet and play other tennis enthusiasts at their own skill levels. Whether you play only occasionally, "just for fun," or prefer to compete several times a week, you can meet others at your level. You will also have the opportunity to improve your play by challenging others who are slightly more advanced.
Participation is free but you must have a Seger Courts Reservations membership ($25) to reserve courts at Seger; so a membership is strongly recommended. See the Frequently Asked Questions section for details about memberships.
Match Format / Guidelines:
*Short warm up, no more than 5 minutes (due to the one hour reservation limit).
*"PRO SET" format. Winner is the first person to win 8 games.
*"NO-AD" scoring.
MERCY RULE: If one player has won the first 5 games, then the Mercy Rule may be used if both players agree to conclude the match.
If time runs out, the person in the lead wins the match. If there is a tie, make ASAP arrangements to conclude the match.
Tennis balls: Each player MUST bring a new (still sealed) can of tennis balls.
